My last post 'Quintin's Joy' was written a little too early. About 2-3 hours after I posted it Quintin called me to tell me that a new friend was coming home with him. So as I write this I have a Red Tailed Hawk 10 feet away from me in the bathroom until Quintin can take her to a wildlife rehab center. She really is pretty and sick but I still am a little freaked out that I have "wildlife" in my house.
Although I did stop and think about how she feels about this whole situation and realized that she is the Britney of the hawk world.
Hawk 1- "Did you hear about Harriot?" (this is what I've named her.)
Hawk 2- "Nah dude what's up with her?"
Hawk 1- "She wasn't doing that great mentally or physically."
Hawk 2- "Ya when I saw her last week she was flying funny and not making sense"
Hawk 1- "Well yesterday I saw some guy come and restrain her with a blanket then he took her away to rehab in his truck" (this being Quintin)
Hawk 2- "No, not rehab!"
Hawk 1- "Dude, I tell no lies."
So I guess I can not freak out so much about a Hawk locked in my bathroom when I know that she needs to get help.

I'm totally calling him the Hawkener! Good luck with that.
Have you ever seen LadyHawk. Well I don't really remember it, but I do know that I now want to call you HawkLady.
I hope Harriot is gone before you get too freaked out...or too used to having her around.
Do you think she can sense your cat?
