That was then....

I recently discovered that we have the Discovery Health Channel and I'm addicted.
Strangely, despite going through all of my health problems, I love watching Trauma: An ER Story and the other hospital reality shows. I need a psychologist to help me understand my love for these shows. It's also weird because I HATE violence in movies and that is the fake stuff. Anyone that can diagnose me, please, go for it. I was watching some gunshot victims and car accident victims have CT scans today on the show and I realized where I was 7 years ago this and next month. (about 6 weeks total) I was in Chicago having my 8th heart surgery! This isn't a poor me post, it is a thank goodness for the Dr's that saved me post! --As well as prayers, blessings and a loving Heavenly Father.

This is me a few days after my surgery, I was unconscious for 5 days
14 IV's, 3 chest tubes, pressure pants, breathing tube etc...
(the black lump is my mom trying to relax)
This is one of the 3 surgeons that saved my life in my 17 hour operation
(my hair had problems, the story is a long one so I will just say that I won't be going to beauty colleges again)
I love you Doctors!!

Holly- it's rather horrifying to see you hooked up to machines like that. I can totally sympathize with your lump of a mother in the back ground.

The hair is totally forgivable. I think it's kinda cute- especially since it was seven years ago. I have to say though, I love your long red hair right now, so pretty and shiny...

Wow Hollzy.... I can't help but read and view this blog and be thankful for the miracle that you are! I just heard today about a baby born a few weeks ago with a similar heart.. and the amount of hope I have for them is incredible - thanks to you and your zest for life.

Keep being you and making the world a better place! Love you girl.. even if you are leaving us for Australian Adventures.

I can't watch those health shows...my hypochondria-ness comes out! So, I don't see how you can do it! You are amazing! Thanks for sharing these things! BTW, I really love your hair in that picture, but what do I know?
