First with my work it is going ok, I still have a hard time grasping these new medical concepts that the USA does not have and I'm also tired of being the new girl that everyone feels like they need to help. It is a great place to work and I made it through winter without getting the swine flu from all of our patients.
My health stuff is still on hold until I can get in to see an oncologist for my tumor, to hear back from my gastroenterologist and getting ready to go to Brisbane. We are going to Brisbane on Thanksgiving week (they don't celebrate it of course) I will be going to have a whole day of heart tests and CT scans and stress tests and holter monitors and whatever else they want to strap to me. We are also taking a few extra days to go to the temple, shopping (yay), to Steve Irwin's zoo and Quintin got the very last ticket to a Pearl Jam concert, we tried to get one for me but it was seriously the last ticket out of 45,000 sold!! Anyway, I am pretty stressed out, with the liver problems, the tumor and the heart of course. I had a breakdown at church yesterday and relief society sisters came out of the woodwork to comfort me. It was embarrassing but I felt the love :)
Speaking of church, I LOVE my calling as a YW counselor. The 6 regular girls that come are so cool, I just love them all. I went to girls camp (only 1 night here) the other day and it was only my second time I've ever been.
Next my new hobby is helping a wildlife carer once a week with the feeding and taking care of orphaned or disabled kangaroo and wallaby babies. I love doing this, they are the coolest animals and the sweetest little babies.
This is a sweet little baby pademelon, we were taking a break from feeding
notice the milk on her face
this poor little guy is named Harvey and he has a disease that
makes him scabby
I have always felt the need to help animals and this gives that need an outlet. LOVE IT

I want to save the kangas. That is so cool.
I thought I commented on this post before. I am so happy Holly that you have that opportunity to do something you love. I hope being with the animals is helpful for you and gives you a great experience.
