Holly Hawk that is, Quintin suggested the name to the rehab people and they liked it because they already had a bird named Harriot. If you are confused please read my last post about the Hawk that Quintin brought home.
Anyway we took HollyHawk to Ogden tonight to a bird rehab center. I actually was starting to like HollyHawk and had sympathetic feelings taking over. For a bird. A bird!
We were let into the back room where various birds were injured and being cared for from a Magpie, a couple of Ravens, to even the cutest little hummingbird. The lady took me around and told me what the birds were being treated for. It was so educational for me, I learned all about these birds and the bigger birds like the Hawk and Ravens were in from being shot by people. It got to the point where I was telling her that I would come volunteer if they needed me. Until I saw all of the dead mice than I thought differently...I'll send Quintin in my stead.
We don't know if HollyHawk will live, the lady said that she was the skinniest bird she had seen, she didn't even have muscle left. They tube fed her a little bit of liquid and when we looked in on her 5 mins later she had collapsed. So we are crossing our fingers and we will call in the morning to see if she made it through the night.

Hollyhawk in my bathroom (leaving presents for Quintin to clean up)
Does the Hawk have large talons? (say it in Nap Dynomites voice, I couldn't resist).
